Architect and urban planner, Christian de Portzamparc won the Pritzker Architecture Prize 1994, Grand Prix de l’urbanisme 2004. In the 1980s, he conceptualized an approach of the city based on the scale of the “open block.” He is now reflecting upon an ambitious return to matter, and to territorial action and infrastructure to address the issue of “de-spatialization.”
