Nicolas Bourriaud

Art historian, art critic, theorist and exhibition curator, he co-directed the Palais de Tokyo in Paris from 2000 to 2006 and then directed the Paris Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts from 2011 to 2015. A specialist in contemporary art, his works are now academic references and have been translated into several languages, including Relational Esthetics (1998), Formes de vie. L’Art moderne et l’invention de soi (1999), and The Radicant (2009). He explores the forms of modernity specific to the era of globalization and the Anthropocene. Since February 2016, he is the director of the future contemporary art center MoCo (Montpellier Contemporain), which brings together the Panacée, the future Hôtel de Montcalm and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Montpellier Métropole.
